Our journey to the islands of French Polynesia begins in Papeete, Tahiti,
where our flight from Los Angeles lands late in the evening. We will
visit Raiatea, Taha'a, Bora Bora, Moorea, and a few "motus" (islets in
the lagoons surrounding the islands) over the next seven days. This trip
has been on my "must do" goal list for about 50 years and I'm finally doing it!
We arrive in Papeete, Tahiti, only four hours late!
We settled in at the Radisson Hotel, Papeete, for a couple of nights.
